Shooting from a bench for the rifle at the range, and tripod for the crossbow in the back yard...I can't shoot my compound any more, arthritis....I'm reduced to 425 fps carbon bolts from a modern crossbow.... I admit I'm a bit shocked with the advancements of it all.

MSgt Dale Johnson - Sending good hunting vibes your way. We could start a group that gets vets mixed up with urban deer control, blinds set up, stands, easy access....might even be a good business idea too...retirement...

Still using gun and bow for deer. To date, I still haven’t released an arrow from my bow at a deer. Last year one walked under the tree I was in, it moved directly in front of me, I should have been in his blind spot. As I got to full draw, he hopped ahead to where he was behind brush.

And THEN......it happens...just keep getting back in the stands...in the mean time practice from every possible angle you can...3D shoots especially. I just gained access to 250 acres of trophy country...straight heaven on earth.
