I Was Working The Counter At The Lumber Company, When Vic Walked In.
He Was Busy Looking At 2 X 4's, And Counting Them, When I Asked Vic:
"Sir, How LONG Do You Want Those 2 X 4's "? And Vic Said "Quite A While, We're Putting Up A Building"..

I wanted to ask you, are gamblers in Las Vegas as obnoxious as they are here? I mean I really hit a hot machine and when it finally quit dinging I pushed the cash out button and some old lady stuffed a cash ticket into it before I even pushed the stool back to get up.

OH I Believe You ~~ We Have A Few Out Here Too, BUT Very Few ~ If It Happens Again, And It Can Be Done ~~ Print Out Her Ticket, Tear It In Half ~ Hand It Back & Be Sure To Say "Thank You"... Our Casinos Don't Put Up With That Crap And, Probably Same As Yours, It's All On Cameras, Should You Need/Want Proof.

The other smart-ass answer for the lumber counter (where I actually did work) was when the customer asked what was the difference in a 2x4x8' and a 2x4x12'. "Well, Sir, the 12' is 4' longer."
The lumber counter was next to the Paint Department, so we were often asked to mix paint. One rather slow day, I noticed this older lady pick out a can of paint and head our way. The lady politely asked if I could shake the can of paint. I answered "sure, picked it up and proceed to shake if vigorously, then handed it back to her. She stood there for a moment with a rather bewildered look on her face, then exclaimed, "No, on the Machine". I said "sure, no problem", walked over to the paint machine and proceed to shake it.
How I managed to keep a straight face during all this I don't know. The rest of the employees in the area all fled to the warehouse when I picked up the can and started shaking. They were still laughing when I told them it was safe to come out.

Cpl Vic Burk - they make these things called backhoes that would knock that out in an afternoon. You can rent them for fairly reasonable.

CPT Lawrence Cable - A bobcat is $600.00 per day plus $100.00 delivery and pick up charge. I need the exercise anyways! At this point I'm almost done with it.
