14 April 1395: Tamerlane (Timur) defeated the Golden Horde and razed its capital city, Sarai, as well as Astrakhan and Azov while pursuing his rival commander after the Battle of the Terek River.
The opposing armies both numbered roughly 300,000 and the casualties were enormous. Modern historians estimate as many as nearly 100,000 on both sides.
Several of the Golden Horde emirs switched sides during the battle, giving Tamerlane the shot in the arm needed to roll up the Horde's left flank and rout its army.

War has been around since the dawn of mankind on earth. This will never end in my estimation. Right now we have Israel going after Hamas, and rightly so, as they need to be eliminated from the face of the earth for what they started, Now Syria is also attacking Israel, so this will escalate in to who knows what. We just have to wait and see. Also Russia and the Ukraine war is not going away anytime soon. I'm waiting for the Chinese to invade Taiwan, and then we'll be involved with that situation. Like I said, it never ends.
