Thank You Brother Dale. Those Indians seem to choose the wrong side too often. Even my Choctaws fought with the South during the Civil War.

PO3 Edward Riddle - Edward, I thought that the Choctaws were one of the "Five Civilized Tribes." "Five Civilized Tribes, term that has been used officially and unofficially since at least 1866 to designate the Cherokee, Choctaw, Chickasaw, Creek, and Seminole Indians in Oklahoma (former Indian Territory)." https://www.britannica.com/topic/Five-Civilized-Tribes

PO3 Edward Riddle - Edward, I'm sorry if I've in any way led you to believe that I'm ". . . .trying to put them down." I was born and grew up in Oklahoma. While reading about the history of the Five Civilized Tribes this time, I was saddened about how Native Americans were rounded up and driven off the lands on which they'd lived for thousands of years before the Europeans arrived. The Trail of Tears, where over 4,000 Native Americans died, is a very sad story and a very sad part of American history.

I was born and grew up in the city where the Creek National Council House is located. When I was a small boy, I remember my grandmother, who was born in 1895, before Oklahoma Statehood, took me to the Creek National Council House Museum. She took me through all the rooms of the museum and explained many things about the Creek Nation. Like The Choctaw, The Creek was (and still is) one of the Five Civilized Tribes.

Edward, I don't "try to put anyone or anything down." I think that each one of us has a meaning and a purpose in being born, wherever that may be. I think we are sent into the world to try to do the exact opposite from "trying to put anyone or anything down." I think we are here to build people and things up. Please forgive me if I have led you to infer that I was "trying to put them down."
