Hey guys, I'm volunteering with a research group and wanted to tell you about this study you could participate in. If you're interested or have questions, call [login to see] or reply to this post.

Project BRAVE is open to anyone who deployed after 9/11/2001 and is experiencing symptoms of PTSD (prior diagnosis not required). This is not a drug or therapy study. It just involves answering questions! Participation is 100% confidential; the study is being conducted at The University of Memphis and is not VA-affiliated. You can earn up to $380 for participating, which involves 3 visits as well as 3 weeks of using a mobile app.

It takes just 10 minutes to see if you're eligible for the project - call [login to see] , visit http://www.memphisveterans.org, or email [login to see] .

Is't it possible for the state to remove your weapons and ammo if you admit to just having PTSD?

This is definitely not the case in Tennessee, although I am not sure about other states. Project BRAVE will keep your identity and your information confidential, though. We will not tell anyone outside of the project that you are participating, unless you request that we do so. If you want to hear more about the project, please get in touch: http://www.memphisveterans.org

I would not trust anyone with information like that. Too many times the subject has been brought up to take Vets with reported PTS Weapons and Ammo away by force. Computers never forget. Move to a state where weed is legal and get with a buddy. Avoid opioids at all cost.

That is just my two cents. When I served in the last 70s it was the only time in US history that not a shot was fired in anger. I felt like I danced threw the rain drops. By the 80's the military was wanting to earn their stripes over Vietnam's loss. Keep your kids out of the service they are being wasted for nothing and nobody really cares because they are not feeling it.

Join nearly 2 million former and current members of the US military, just like you.
