I did a podcast interview with Steve Forbes, CEO of Forbes Inc. http://artofthinkingsmart.com/3

In addition to some awesome advice on business and investing, he mentions that learning to deal with failure is one of the key steps to success.

What is your story of how you dealt with failure? How did it lead to future success? I want to take some key stories from soldiers in a book I am writing, I think the experiences of soldiers are the best out there.

Please comment with your story and your contact information. Would be great that we all learned from each other!

While I don't have a shocking ashes to success story, I think the Army taught me to bounce back every time I make a mistake. And to do my best not to make the same mistake again. It's an essential part of being a Soldier, isn't it? We "lose" on some front, but we never give up, we keep soldiering on, getting things done, and as we move past that "failure," we make a note not to let that happen again ... we learn from it.
