I am PCSing to Korea in 2020 and have not been able to get any info out of my sponsor. I am a SSG(P) and will be going unaccompanied for my tour. Any information about the post and living arrangements is much appreciated. I have nothing right now to go on.
Side note: Orders say Camp Humphreys but my sponsor has Camp Casey on his email and my unit has an element there so I am just assuming that is where I am heading.

If you go to Camp Humphreys as a SFC, Senior Enlisted Quarters is your own apartment on base. Living, full kitchen, bedroom, full size bathroom and your own washer and dryer in your apartment. If they are full, you’ll be placed off post. I’ve ne Er been to Casey so I’m not sure what the arrangements are like. Good luck to you and have fun!!!!

All information about camp Humphreys and Camp Casey is open source, and available online. Your living arrangements will be barracks. If you go to SGT+SSG until you pin SFC, you’ll potentially have a suite mate, sharing a kitchen and bathroom, but have your own room. If you are in the senior enlisted barracks you will have your own room with bathroom, but potentially a shared kitchen with your wing/floor of your building.
It’s almost impossible for anyone but your sponsor to tell you exactly what you’ll be staying in, due to a lot of moving parts at Camp Casey with the emphasis to shift out of area 1. Everyone has different accommodations. You could be in an 8 man bay for a month, a hotel for a week, a barracks room for 6 months, hard to say.

SFC (Join to see) I wish I could give more info, but I was in the same boat when I PCSd. They didn’t even know which camp i was supposed to go to, my “sponsor” changed 3 times. Ultimately, whoever “needs” you most on your 2nd or 3rd day of in processing will snag you up, then it’ll all be reactive fire from there!
Good luck! I had a great time traveling around South Korea and gaining experience in my job from a new perspective. You should leave there understanding why it’s a KD assignment.
