How times have changed, this MOS was 63W20. I got my H8 identifier after BNOC, And now it carries a Sierra title.

In early 89 when I was in ait. A Select few were choose to advance with the H8 identifier. I was one of the lucky few /or (unlucky) .Lol. once at my duty station I held an NCO (e5)position as a pfc. Until I made rank. Being the only h8 on the post. Got my plenty of long days and loads of field time. Looking back now. It kept me away from all the regular Army B.S. at the unit level. So I eventually used that away time to enjoy the Army alot longer than planned. Being the only one sometimes gives you the upper hand.
