Does anyone have information on the 29E/17E Electronic Warfare Specialist AIT at Ft.Gordon?

HRC has approved my reclass request to Electronic Warfare Specialist 17E(formerly 29E). Instead of the 9 week course at Ft.Sill, I'm slotted for the AUG2019-MAR2020 8 month course at Ft.Gordon requiring a PCS move. Just wondering if anyone can shed some light/wisdom on the alternative class format

Something is right about this. The course length shouldn’t be that long. I’ll give you an answer tomorrow. I’m a BDE EW NCO.

SPC (Join to see)
SSG (Join to see) Could you please guide me as to what is the length of AIT for 17E. I looked at goarmy.com and that showed 9 weeks , but reading through this thread it seems like some soldiers are getting 8 months

I don't mean to give you the runaround but see your BDE or BN EW NCO. They should give you the gist of everything. I would ask my buddy but he's on a retreat now.

My son enlisted and is graduating bct next week. He will be going to ft gordon 17 echo. 8 months is a long time. He signed a 6 year active duty contract I hope we don't regret it. Dies anybody know the duty station he could be sent to with that MOS?
