I'm looking at transferring from the Marines to the Army. It's looking like I'm going MP. Can anyone tell me about day to day life in the schoolhouse? How long is it? What can I expect as prior service? Any advice, input, stories would be immensely appreciated, thanks!

The school isn't long enough to make note of. The Army usually separates it's prior service during AIT, but not every school is the same. Either way, you'll only be there 10 weeks.

Much more important is you getting to your first unit, your family moving, you moving your household goods, and the actual job you'll be doing. Your family has my condolences for those weekends and holidays lost being on duty

I'm lucky to be with someone who has already put up with a little of this during my time in the Marines. Thanks for the info!
