I'm a former 11B, went recruiting, got out and coming back in on active duty as a 35F at the rank of E-6. Just curious as to what to expect. I'll be at Ft Huachuca and driving down so I'll have a POV there, will I have to park it or will I be able to use it? Will I be in class/formation with IET soldiers? My wife is wanting to bring the kids down to visit while I'm in school, will I be able to see them or is it pretty much lockdown the whole time? Thank you for any feedback.

I was a MOS-T as a reclass at Ft. Huachuca in 2013. PM or email me and I will let you know how it’ll be for you down there.
To answer your questions in the short term:
Yes you will be in formation, PT, and class with the IET Soldiers. There are certain details/training with that that you’ll be expected to do (CQ/SD, assist with 350-1, etc).
You will not be housed with them. You’ll very likely stay in Riley Barracks (may god have mercy on your soul) which is across base essentially.
Your family will very likely be able to visit you. You’ll either sign them in during visitor hours or you could get a room for the weekend at the IHG (candlewood suites) on base.
P.S. They’ll (DSs and Instructors) brief you but do not associate with the IET soldiers outside of training. You’re there for an MOS, not to chance ending your career (not saying you would but the territory is there and if you don’t - watch out for your fellow MOS-Ts there).

WO1 (Join to see) My first re-class at Huachuca the CSM briefed the MOS-Ts. Part of his briefing was (this isn't verbatim, but it is pretty close) "If you are driving down Hatfield (one of the main streets on Ft H) and it is pissing down rain, and it you see one of your classmates shivering walking down the sidewalk back to their barracks....... Honk and wave as you splash them when passing by."
My second re-class at Fort Huachuca, my platoon was something like 185 Soldiers... 65 MOS-T. I was one of about 5 that there were no rumors of inappropriate relationships. And we had (IIRC) 7 NCOs lose rank.
Don't allow even the PERCEPTION of impropriety.

Sergeant you will be living in the barracks next to alpha co with other MOS-T and come and go whenever after the duty day is over. You will able to use your POV. The AIT soldiers will ask you an insane amount of questions. The drills will leave you alone for the most part( during the field you will be a toc leader). The instructors will have lead your ten person “pod”. I would suggest reading adp 2.0 and atp 2-01.3(both are can be found online in pdf). There’s a red smart book called battle staff at clothing and sales that is helpfully. Except for Pt, you won’t be in formation( you drive your self to the schoolhouse). I hope that helps sergeant

Thank you, that's what I was wondering about. The closest thing I've done to a reclass school was recruiting school and it was all big boy rules.

SSG (Join to see) Sergeant the course itself isn’t that difficult but understanding the computer system for the products is crucial to passing ( I got recycled because i didn’t understand it and it cost me a lot time on the tests). As a MOS-T they will do anything they can to insure you pass. Also ask the graduating AIT soldiers for advice because they have more up to date information on the course
