Seems the entire Military has just enough people to keep the lights on. When I lived in the San Francisco area I went through TEN Base closings. Everyone is on edge because they could be next.
Retirees who invested their lives into one area to be close to facilities now find them closed, Medical Treatment is hundreds of miles away. Between Congress and the Pentagon they are destroying lives

Especially many army installations like fort Leonard Wood and Fort SILL they are in the middle of nowhere I can understand the want to PCS more often. In the Navy every place I was stationed was not far at all from civilization especially being single that was huge plus for me always something to do.

The Army definitely has some duds as far as duty stations go. I've looked at the places I can possibly go for my next duty assignment and none are what I'd call my dream assignment. I just have to find a way to make the most of it.
