I was just wondering what the general hours were for active duty as a 12N. Everyone I know is reserves so just finding anything out about active duty is not very helpful. Any in site on a 12N would be wonderful. This is a job I wanted just wanted more in site though. I ship out in a couple weeks. Thank you.

Current active duty 12N here stationed at Joint base Lewis-Mcchord, Wa. If you are want to know the hours it all depends on our current mission for example, if we are working on a construction project hours might be early from 7-5 or 9-5 not physical training for those days. While on normal days without a mission we work on our equipment with maintenance, so most of our job is around equipments and do army training as well if you have any questions feel free to ask.

Im currently stationed at Fort Irwin as a 12N. You have to look a the bigger picture. Getting promoted to E5 is very competitive. Hours when were are not in the field are 06:30 morning formation, the 0900 workcall until 16sh. We got lunch from 11:30 to 13:00. When we go to the box (field) we usually spend about 10 days in The desert, we get to come home for a few hours from time to time. Again, it all depends where you get stationed.
