Maybe think about getting there first instead of how much time you can get off. You’ve got to become a Soldier before you get leaves and passes.

I did the MOS portion of 16S (Stinger) OSUT at Ft. Bliss in 1983. Passes from Sat 1300 to Sun 1800 every weekend. Prior to this I did 31J (Radio-teletype) AIT at Ft. Gordon in 1981 as a USAR. It was literally no different than being in a regular unit. No Drills.

(Join to see) - My OSUT company commander was hard core, we never saw an off post pass of any kind. That isn't the general standard, but I wouldn't count on seeing much besides beautiful Fort Benning for 14 weeks, or 22 if you are one of the lucky ones to get the extended OSUT.
