I'm curious how you'd react if you're the drill instructor.

I would look at the Recruit and say "Your Pronoun is Private, My Pronoun is Drill Sergeant."
There is nothing else that needs to be said.

So you guys don't understand basic English grammar? Because "Private" and "Drill Sergeant' are nouns. "Recruit" is a noun. "Maggot" is a noun too. Man you guys are really bad at English.

SFC Kelly Fuerhoff Does "it" count? Personally I don't give a damn about nouns or pronouns.

Had 2 DS in my Basic that had a workaround years before this came to pass. One called everyone "Hero" and the other always called us by "Hey, Stupid."

SPC July Macias - All corrective actions have to be exercises out of FM7-22 to prevent "hazing" and/or "abuse". Front back go, sugar cookies, cherry pickers, ect ect are all out.

Our drill instructors routinely called us, "You f**king bitches" among other things! I wouldn't trade my boot camp experience for anything. It was a major turning point in my life.

MAJ Byron Oyler - The DI's didn't give a damn how hot it was when I was in boot camp. It was conditioning for the real world of military action.

Cpl Vic Burk - The juinor DI was a buck sargent, Sgt Brake from Dallas Texas.
Out of Vietnam, 101st ABN, he was a sniper there, got stabbed 3 time with a bayonet, we were told, he had only 1/4 of a lung on one side, and he could never run with us for long.
He was in meanest guy I had ever met, he told our platoon one day, "If I see anyone of you, Cat calling my wife as she walks by the barracks, I'll kill you!" And, we all beleived him.
The E-6 DI's, both had Vietnam Ranger patches on their right sleeves, but they were down to earth, and were always trying to help the recrutes. Out senior DI was an E7, and he was good to us, but kept us straight and taught us what we needed to know.
