Or at least ask some of us older warriors to help out at a National Guard Armory.

I wouldn't think they would do this again, unless they were a severe reduction in able bodied training personnel.

My dad was 31 when he was drafted in September 1942. At only 5'0" tall he almost didn't get past the physical, but he had CMTC and ROTC training in high school and 8 years National Guard service from 1930-38, plus he was a national champion marksman so they let him in. They finally kicked him out in December 1971. He would have jumped at the slightest chance to get back in and would have gladly taken his last breath in uniform.
