Thanks Maj Marty Hogan for letting us know that January 22 is the anniversary of the birth of American pharmacist Wilbur Lincoln Scoville who may be best known for his creation of the "Scoville Organoleptic Test", now standardized as the Scoville scale to measure the pungency, "spiciness" or "heat", of various chili peppers..

Maj Marty Hogan thanks for sharing short bio on Wilbur Scoville he was a American pharmacist best known for Scoville Organoleptic Test, now Scoville Scale for measuring spiciness or heat of various hot peppers
