As Pvt Wayne Woods correctly stated, government policies can create a positive climate or a negative climate, and we have seen eight years of stagnation as evidenced by the 95,000,000 residents that have given up trying to find a job. Create a positive environment for business and there will be a ready workforce. If we don't provide more safety net benefits than working a job provides.

Using a reputable source like "The Economist" and not right wing news? How dare you!

The Economist predicted Trump would never be elected and that he was a flash in the pan.

Sgt Gus Laskaris - With all due respect, to disregard all aspects of Keynesian economics is wrong, we, as a society, should learn to accept the good aspects of a model (be it economic, political...) while rejecting the less desirable parts. Virtually all media sources have a bias, I just like to think the Economist (which I do subscribe to) tends to back up its stories on facts which can be checked, unlike some of the more conservative sites (Breitbart comes to mind). The Economist is also British, which means it is influenced less by American politics and money.
Trump may well create an explosion of jobs, I worry about the quality and income of said jobs. He's well known for his anti-union stance, and his choice for Secretary of Labor reinforces that. We do not need a nation of mostly minimum wage earning citizens, IMHO
