The only southern Democrat that was a racist that left the Democrats and became a Republican was Strom Thurmond. Al Gores daddy, Robert Byrd, President Johnson, Fulbright, why even Joe Biden who opposed busing because he didn’t want his kids n a jungle all stayed Democrats. Look at the name calling of Tim Scott by Democrats, and Democrats don’t believe Black people are smart enough to get a picture ID, tell me about the racist Nice try.

The Episcopal Church I attended a few years back had stained glass windows given by parishioners whose children had died in the civil war. Slavery was a terrible institution. It fueled the south’s economy. People need to be real about it. You can not change the history. If America were founded on keeping slavery as the 1619 project suggests then keeping slavery out of the Northwest Territories never would have happened, and preventing expansion of the number of slave states would not have happened or been an issue. People also need to understand that many of the monuments allowed the reunification of America, it allowed the grief and anger to go to monuments. I am glad to see the progress we have made, the distance is much shorter than it was. Liberal myths also need to be destroyed. The disintegration of the black family is related to the welfare society and not slavery.
