White House coronavirus task force to be wound down around Memorial Day

Things are slowly winding down, but the economic after effects are going to be with us for years...

Seriously. I don't even know what the TF did to know during the pandemic to even make a judgement on the utility of winding it down. I think it might be premature. I will use an military analogy. In WWII the US and UK fought and won in N Africa. Then they built up forces to invade France, but what Trump wants to do is declare victory in N Africa and reduce forces for the invasion of France. Trump is making the assumption that the toughest part of the pandemic has been fought. I think he is wrong.
