Im sticking to the Ozark Mountains. No bunkers, no fortifications, just keep moving. There will be plenty of lakes, streams and empty houses to forage from and no need fo try to defend an area I cant possibly defend alone or with just a few peeps.

Yukon is too far north. 3 months of darkness, 6 months of sun and 3 months of twilight. North of Edmonton has great farmland, lakes, water. You have lots of oil available since President Obama said no too all the pipelines. 7,000 airstrip from a former backup landing strip for the space shuttle emergency landing north of the city of Edmonton means planes can fly in and park and from there move north to join others escaping the devastation.
