I don't know about parroting Putin's narrative, but the fact still remains that the two militias that were rolled into the National Army, Azov Brigade and Right Sector, are in fact Neo Nazis. They were before 2014, they were before the Invasion. If you did a web search on articles before the invasion, you can find a number of stories in the Western press that profiled that fact and the fact that they were shelling Luhansk and Donetsk on a fairly regular basis. So whether Zelensky himself is a NAZI isn't as relevant as the fact that there are several Neo/Nazi Organizations inside Ukraine that have a lot of influence on the Country.
And article for the Guardian back before the Nazis became the "good guys". https://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/sep/10/azov-far-right-fighters-ukraine-neo-nazis
Or if you want to take the time, Oliver Stone's Ukraine on Fire does a better job on the history of this conflict going back to WWI. https://rumble.com/vwxxi8-ukraine-on-fire.html

Azov fighters are Ukraine's greatest weapon and may be its greatest threat
The battalion's far-right volunteers' desire to 'bring the fight to Kiev' is a danger to post-conflict stability

Yes, Ukraine has stumbled in becoming an independent state. Sadly, Russia invaded likely because the Ukrainians seemed to be getting it together un Zelensky and Putin couldn't let that happen. Similarly, I had hopes that Russia might get their act together when the Soviet Union collapsed. Again sadly, they let the opportunity slip through their fingers just as they had after the Tsar was overthrown. Now, look at our experience with actual Nazis. Germany is now a somewhat reliable ally. Japan is a solid ally. Italy too. All the Axis powers now firmly allied with US. Time to learn from history, isn't it?

CPT Jack Durish - Ukraine has the same problem as Yugoslavia, a number of large minorities that don't want to join in the version of Ukrainian Nationalism that is anti Russian. While NATO effectively sponsored the break up of Yugoslavia, where a number of the Nationalist Parties also had a dark history with National Socialism, we try to get self righteous when it happens in countries where we don't approve . What is the difference between Kosovo and Donetsk or Crimea?
