It is interesting to note that "guns" are the ONLY cause of death that CDC tracks and published for "children and teens ages 1-19." ALL other causes of death are routinely tracked and reported for "Children" (ages 0-17) or "Adults" (ages 18 up).
So, why are gun deaths tracked for "children and teens" while excluding infants (age less than 1)? Because that was the only way to manipulate the figures to support the patently false voice clip claim that "guns are the leading cause of death for children..." The actual leading cause of death for children (age 0-17) continues to be motor vehicle accidents, just as it has been for decades; but if you exclude infants AND add in young adults specifically ages 18 & 19 then you skew the numbers with the large number of "teens" who kill each other as part of inner city gang violence (a problem that NO ONE wants to tackle or even talk about because it brings up other topics that make liberal politicians uncomfortable about crime and race).

This is noticeably misleading because last I checked once you're 18 you're a legal adult in this country; unless that's no longer the case and we're taking a leaf out of Japan's book by raising the legal adult age to 20.

Maj Robert Thornton
They continually continue to lump 18 and 19 year olds in the children’s section, even though they are adults by law. Thus, the total skewing of the data.
