To Understand the Bible, we must remember a number of things. It is the word of God. It is written in a
.context, it is a historical document, therefore it relates the traditions and social ways of the cultures of the moments when It was written! We have to be careful when we give it meaning!

I can not agree here, and not well said cause it says the Major’s thinking is superior to God, and we should know our ways and Our Thinking is not the Ways and Thinking Of God

No one implied my word is better than God! Well said means I explained the word of God! No one is even close to the. Word of God! Not even the 4 th Gospel writers! I am nothing and no one but because of God’s mercy and love!

SrA Ronald Moore, where in the Bible do you get the idea that the Bible is a "living Book"? What does this mean, Biblically?

Paul says in I Cor 13:10 that "...when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away." My understanding of this is that the completed canon of Scripture is "that which is perfect", and "that which is in part" is that of the Holy Spirit gifted prophets speaking God's word supernaturally, because it had yet to be completed, as it is now completed.

The Bible consists of 2 primary parts: parts written directly to and about Israel, and parts written directly to and about the Body of Christ.

The parts written directly to and about Israel contain many good principles that we can apply to our life today. But, the vast majority of it is specific to their time back then, and to a time yet to be determined in the future.

The parts written directly to and about the Body of Christ apply to all Christians since the time of Paul up until this present day, and shall continue until the day that the Body of Christ is taken out of here just prior to the Tribulation, which will be followed by the literal millennial (1000-year) reign of Jesus Christ Himself on the throne of David in Jerusalem physically on this earth.

Maj Maria Avellaneda, I agree with you. We must be careful when we give it meaning. May God bless the land of my nativity and citizenship, the United States of America, for ever, I nonetheless do *not* agree that *any* portion of the Word of God speaks specifically about America at all, especially this often Americanized verse: "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." (II Chronicles 7:14). This particular verse is speaking specifically, and *only* about Israel, and no one else.
