Mr. Nance defines honor by politics. The rest of us on RP have a much higher bar than that for honor.

Politics are part of a person's identity. One cannot be "honorable" about one issue in life and not about all issues in life. Either one is honorable or one is not.
How any honorable person can support a person as dishonorable as Trump I cannot understand.

Not by politics by but by morality, the two things are not distinct from each other.

Maybe Nance meant a “vast majority” of veterans who support Trump. LOL

1stSgt Nelson Kerr - Well, of course you know that politics is fundamentally about governing a country and is characterized by the conflict between those seeking power. Many (most?) politicians are essentially amoral...they place power over any semblance of moral code they once had. Morality is a much higher standard. I truly value the honor of those of us here on RP and I reject the binomial representation of Mr Nance that if you support the President you are dishonorable. I can see the buffoonery, the loud mouth tweet-before-he-thinks behavior. I do not support every aspect of his policies or even the methods he uses to implement the policies. Just like I didn't support every policy of every president ever. Yet I support them AS the president. I maintain there IS a clear difference between politics and morality. Stalin, Pol Pot, Mao, etc were all politicians. This is my favorite book on morality:

1stSgt Nelson Kerr - I would never call you dishonorable though, that is the difference. At least if someone called me a right wingnut conservative, I would agree with them. So, do what you think you must to make yourself feel better.

1stSgt Nelson Kerr - Also, where is the hypocrisy for calling someone what they are? Just because someone voted for Trump doesn't make them dishonorable. You are missing the point all together. Just stop while you can.... Your Hypocrisy is showing more than mine.

SGT Cort Landry - How can you honorably support the dishonorable? You throw personal insults but get triggered when they are thrown at you, very snowflaky
