Definitely Some "Troubling" History with Pius XII. Yes the Church Saved Thousands of Jews but Pius was Definitely an Germanophile, Then there is the Lateran Treaty of 1929 between Mussolini and the Vatican.

I won't be reading this one Chip. I would be so sad/angry/disappointed - to find out even more than I know now. When you are the world's smallest country, surrounded by Nazi's and Fascists with a history as dark as your own. Not many Wars can compete with the atrocities committed by "True Believers" of any Faith, and the "Inquisition" still strikes fear into the hearts of many centuries after it had lost its power.
So don't condone, but I understand. My thoughts I want to keep happy today...so, I shall skp this one.

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel - It is that analysis brain of yours...when you look at what went on, what is going on, and what will go on...it is hard not to get pissed. But I love the Scottish "pissed off", because they never stop thinking and listening, even when they are painting themselves blue and running a sword thru your body.
