CPT (Join to see) - It's a P-3, No 1 Meter, 3 Ft Antennas on the Underside and the underside of the wings, that is a Sub Chaser and Not a Spook Plane.

CPT (Join to see) - If It Looks Like a Porcupine it's a Spook Plane and Has Spooks Like Me on it.

I am a Plank Owner to the P-8's older sibling, the C-40A Clipper. Worked on and Crewed the first seven air frames, beginning with 829 to 836. Never Crewed 36 as she was transferred out shortly after we had completed the Acceptance Inspection. Began my worldly travels on that bird. Still have my CHINESE MADE Plank Owner Challenge Coin. Very poignant since just prior to the Acceptance Ceremony for the Type/Model/Series, the Chinese hit a P-3, forcing her down onto a Chinese airstrip.

I still find the P-8s an odd sight to see. Same for my beautiful Hercs with their upgraded props and those hideous nerf dart spinners. Remember the talk (from the P-3 Community) that the P-8 engines would have corrosion problems from flying low across the water. I wonder if the high time on those CFMs are less than that of the Clippers.
