I don't have a warm and fuzzy on that. It seems to be somewhat cumbersome to use. Devices like that can also leak air prior to use.

MAJ Ken Landgren Doesn't look much smaller than the One from My time and I suspect without near the hazards. The Older version had a Pin Like a Grenade if I Remember right to activate and Burned a Chemical Candle to Produces Oxygen (I Know it Sounds Weird) It Put Out "Enriched" Oxygen so don't ever think about lighting up a Cigarette after you donned one, You'd Go Up like a Roman Candle. Don't Drop it on a Deck Covered in Oil otherwise it went Boom!
