While 100% wrong and we all know how it would go for the regular troops if this behavior occurred, he will probably be forced to retire with full benefits..he also probably didn't do his annual travel card training to know right from wrong..

Yeah, I am pretty sure we have mandatory training that outlines what one can/can't do with a Government Travel Card. Not only that, unit GPC/GTC managers get the bill statements, so its not like you can be shady, pay off your card at the end of the month, and simply get away with it. More than likely, this was something he had done over the course of his career and perhaps this was the first time somebody had the courage to hold him accountable for something that I know for a fact has gotten Soldiers of lesser rank UCMJ action.

Yet if we go out and get a motel for a night stay for traveling back and forth from school, and quarters wasn't authorized we get A-15! WOW!

He should be charged under UCMJ violations. We cannot allow different treatments for different people when they violate the law.
