As a farmer...about time! However, we have worked on our 1980's model 4400/4600 since we have owned them. I am not sure thatI would even want to touch one of the modern ones with allthe computer stuff on board. But when a farmer is broken down inthe field they need it fixed as soon as possible...don't need to wait for a technician to come in three day during planting or harvest...need it back up and runnin ASAP. Most farmers by trade are a mechanic anyway...have had to learn that over the years just because of what I previously said.

I agree. My In law told me that if he bought a new tractor and touched it with a wrench he would void the warranty. My in-law is a very good Mechanic. Also a great miser. Never throws anything away and takes other peoples trash and makes treasures

LTC David Brown - That is the main reason we have held on to ours for allthese years. If I were to put mine on the market right now I promise I could get top dollar for it for tohose resaons...they are reliable withour computers and easy to work on.
