I remember that very well, we were with the that Marine Task Force, and built the MSR at the Fork were everyone was supposed to go Left not right. I remember getting the Intel in our morning command battle briefs about the Ambush and then Marines had to push into Ambush ally or sniper alley as we called it. We ended up building an MSR route, and Bridge so RCT-5 could hook around, and counter attack from flank. Thank you for glance down memory lane, remember it well living in trucks, on Trucks, under trucks and in small one man tents, that was one hell of a deployment.

Another great post SGT Keith Bodine. Sure brings back a lot of memories of the early days of the Iraq invasion!

LTC John Mohor, Bad memories? Sometimes before posting a story like this I'm concerned about someone who was there, having flashbacks or nightmares. Thank you.

SGT Keith Bodine luckily not for me. I ended up in Iraq in 2004. I was helping prepare National Guardsman just before and during the invasion. When not on the range 12-16 hours a day that March I was catching the news like everyone else! Thanks again for the post and your service!
