U.S. sees China boosting military presence after island-building spree

The Chinese have to be stopped!!!

They had fewer than 1,000 workers here and they built 3,200 acres of land. If they put the whole of their population on the job then they could build 4,420,923,680 acres of land in just a tiny fraction more than one year.

Of course the PRC is going to be "boosting its military presence" after spending less than it cost to build one aircraft carrier to build an airbase that doesn't actually cost anything to keep on station. Why did anyone think that the PRC was doing the construction?

If America's military and political leadership is just now waking up to the fact that the PRC is interested in becoming the "leading" (read as "predominant") REGIONAL power in the areas that border it and which can supply it with essential raw materials then it is time that those military and political leaders(?) were pensioned off.
