Is it illegal to answer the call to join the fight in Ukraine? It's not like joining ISIS or a terrorist group?

I looked into it before for joining other nations military in general. There is nothing against joining other nations as long as they don't have direct conflict with the USA. If they have conflict then as a US citizen it would be considered treason.

MAJ James Woods Location, Location, Location! The Secret Service became Involved when they were on the other side of the Park from the Naval Observatory, Official Residence of the Vice President of the US. DC has some of the Strictest Gun Laws, Although (Everyone is armed there, Either with the Secret Service, National Park Police, DSS Diplomatic Security Service, Armed Rent a Cops protecting Military Facilities or Gang Bangers) "Georgetown" where We Train Future "Diplomats" and Spooks. Yeah there were Arrested Near the Ukrainian Embassy but they Obviously Hadn't done their Appropirate "Intelligence" Once You Cross that Bridge from Rosslyn/Arlington with Body Armor and Weapons. You've Screwed the Pooch. Ukraine or Anyone Else doesn't Need Your Help "You're an Idiot".
