I am surprised they didn't think it would be an issue. I am sure they knew what they were getting into. It just seems like they are trying to blame others. If someone came to me and told me to hold a brief case I would really question it. If it was Ash Carter that did that I really wouldn't feel comfortable with that. I don't know what he has in there and it may be above my clearance.
In their defense I don't think they realized what they were being used for. I think Hilary played them and still is.
