Since when did we the USA become responsible for establishing a Kurdish state? Are people not aware we’re being used as an international police force for free? The Kurds have nothing to offer us and are dead weight. It’s time we leave the Middle East and never return to that shithole.

Who said anything about the US being responsible for establishing a Kurdish state? And yes, most people are aware we're being used as an international police force for free. What do you think President Trump has been telling us... and them. He's been trying to get other nations to start carrying their share of the load. Mattis resigned because he feared that the President is destroying valuable alliances whereas he has been haranguing them to pay their fair share. Finally, yes, it would be wonderful to just leave. But we have some responsibility to fix what we broke, don't we?
