Another question is why this POTUS denied it happened until the investigation started uncovering things? You know the witch hunt!
If in the beginning he would said let’s look at this the world would be a different place. But again his ego gets in the way and refuses to backtrack on any past statements.

The witch hunt reference is in regard to the "collusion" investigation against Trump and his campaign. To date, zero has been found and that is what Trump is referring to.
The election meddling (to whatever degree it occurred) happened under your hero Obama and he did precious little to stop it. He even had his National Security Advisor, Susan Rice "stand down" Michael Daniel the then head of the Obama administrations cyber security team.
You might want to start thinking about why the Obama administration would do that, what are the implications etc. Perhaps he was just using some of the "flexibility he told Medvedev to let Putin know he would have after his re-election. I can imagine the outrage you would have if Trump promised more "flexibility" to Putin after his re-election.

The President never denied any hacking occurred. He commented on the same new we all saw about the DNC servers and ultimately the Wikileaks release. Trump denied collusion with Russia. He also pointed to the fact that to this day there is not a single bit of evidence a voting system was compromised to change votes for either candidate.
So instead of diverting the discussion, you should really ask why President Obama ordered cyber forces to stand down against Russian hacking in 2016. Personally I don't think he was trying to help them (the Russians) out, I just think he made a very poor decision as Commander in Chief (again), based on perceptions vs what's right for this country.

I wonder if President Obama ordered cyber security personnel to stand down when the Russian hacking was discovered because he assumed that they were working to help Hillary. After all, the Russians had a long standing relationship with Hillary. They might even had been able to blackmail her based on the pay to play deals that she and Bill, selling her approval of deals like the uranium transfer. Imagine the Russians holding that ax over the head of a sitting US President. Still, I haven't seen any evidence that any hacking by anyone altered the election outcome

That's a very interesting question, only Obama knows the real truth.
