When I worked at provincial reconstruction team FAR AH, My Afghanistan born office manager said that the government is too corrupt. The British left in 1913. Afghanistan has always been a difficult country. I recall recently, there was a dispute over which person won the presidency. We tried and I spent 9 months there. My 1st sergeant died in Afghanistan. To those who gave their life in Afghanistan

I knew Blue from the 04-05 deployment to Mosul. He was a SSG then, and a good one.
Reading through those comments brought back some memories, and a touchstone to people I haven't spoken to in years.
Thank you for that.

Not peace, a withdrawal of forces from a country that disdains peace, especially if we’re paying the bills.

The country does not, the taliban do. It is peace as we have achieved our initial objective: Kill or Capture Osama Bin Laden and dismantle the Al-Queada and Taliban.

He said a small contingent would remain, wouldn’t want to be them.
