Capt Dwayne Conyers Trump is definitely Not Winning Over the Retired Flag Officer or Seal Community with His Banter with the Admiral. I Know He has already Burned his Bridges with the Retired Military Intelligence Community.

But Leon Panetta stated most aptly, “It demonstrates a profound lack of understanding of how our military and intelligence agencies operate and undermines the president’s own standing as commander-in-chief.”
Translation: he doesn’t know what the f*ck he’s talking about, and he’s making himself look ridiculous.

I don't understand this whole philosophy about if a Military Officer criticizes you that you can't fire back and someone needs to explain it to me. The old Battleship fired first, Trump should be able to return fire. Just like if he was in uniform and at a Cabinet meeting expressing himself. Also last I checked more discussion or more politically charged discussion has never hurt either the First Amendment or our Press. It was a lot worse in the era of the Hearst Family and you know what? The press survived. So I think this has more to do with people attempting to scare others into self censorship............which is bull crap.

I figure that the Admiral has been chewed out before someplace in his career and that he is a big boy and should be able to take it. I have a lot of respect for Veterans, especially combat Veterans, but I've known a lot of them and as far as I have seen, it doesn't give you any god like incite or special knowledge of the universe.
If you want to run with the big boys, I always figured you need to be able to take a punch.
