Of course Salon would attempt to compare the despicable Hillary Clinton and former POTUS Obama's inaction with ample warning to save ambassador Chris Stevens and his security team in Benghazi with the ambush of soft unarmored pickup trucks in Niger which resulted in the deaths of four Special Operations soldiers in a reconnaissance mission Capt Dwayne Conyers MSgt Robert C Aldi Capt Jeff S. This is a tragedy, the loss of lives always is, but by no means is it a Benghazi.

It's a shameful time when the death of our troops and and ambassadors are used for political gain.

How is it "Unnoticed"? The entire event broadcasted worldwide shortly after is happened. There are 18,000,000 search results on Google. Article weakly claims inattention by the military or the president. Saying that an helicopter did not respond is pointless since the ambush was quick. The French scrambled Mirage fighters with no affect. The President is keeping quiet because there are on-going operations in Niger and surrounding Africa countries.

Soldiers operating in a hostile/austere environment ambushed. US Ambassador (civilian) operating in a 'protected' embassy. Am I missing something here? Oh, salon.com, nevermind.

Semantics aside, comparing Benghazi to military operations in Niger is a significant reach. We only have a few sketchy details regarding the Niger ambush.
