Our kids can sing about Obama but can't say the Pledge of Allegiance. We wonder why so many young adults lack pride in their own country. This is what some of our school systems have come down to a place to indoctrinate kids at a young age. Kids are sponges at this age and their minds can be easily influenced for all the wrong reasons. Sorry, just venting a little... I'm just very passionate about the Pledge of Allegiance.

I've heard more references to Nazis in the last six months than in the last 10 years. What is the deal?

CPO Nate S. You are totally correct. Your story reminded me of when I was on a jury about 20 years ago. The defendant was accused of molesting a underage relative on multiple occasions whenever he came to visit the family. Many family members were aware of his actions but kept quiet. We ultimately found him guilty and after being dismissed went back to the courtroom to hear the sentencing. We were totally amazed to learn he had been previously convicted of similar crimes (something the jury was never told). Ultimately due to the previous conviction, he was sentenced to life, and since Florida has no parole provisions that means he will die in prison.

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen - Sir, Two crimes I absolutely have NO tolerance for:
(1) Molesting of children
(2) Forcible Sex (rape) of women
The devastation this causes is a real issue. As a former ED (Emergency Department) Hospital Corpsmen, many sexual assaults came through our ED. The guys one evening told our female the next time a young female sailor came through the ED in that condition we were going to find out who did it and take our own action. Of course she cooled us down. It really makes me mad when people commit these "crimes against humanity" in my not so humble opinion.

Absolutely preposterous, Sgt Wayne Wood. The BSA was here long before President Trump (organized in 1910), and I imagine they'll be here long after he's gone.

Sgt Wayne Wood, I feel compelled to update my comment above. I made the comment over a year ago, and much has been made public regarding this organization since then. They may not be around long after President Trump leaves office. Although this article is somewhat dated, it does articulate the ongoing trials of BSA and this outfit may go the way of all flesh. Time will tell.
