I don’t get the hesitancy to get vaccinated. The vaccines were developed by Trump’s operation warp speed and have been pushed by Biden. Many Health care workers are hesitant and oddly enough, people with PHD’s. Blacks lag as do Hispanics. https://www.usnews.com/news/health-news/articles/2021-07-27/whos-most-likely-to-refuse-a-covid-vaccine

LTC David Brown - here are the reasons for "hesitancy" in our household:
Our family are not anti-vaxxers. We are, however, not pro "every freaking vax that comes out" people either.
1) We've all had Covid already. Maybe twice now (no tests available the first time around) and were 100% asymptomatic the 2nd time around. 1st time was loss of smell, slight fever for a couple days, then done. According to studies and research, part of Herd Immunity are those of us who have had it, recovered, and now have built up immunities - exactly like what the shot is supposed to provide.
2) None of these are FDA approved - yet.
3) mRNA shots are new all the way around. We have NO history of what DNA manipulation does to the human body/genome over the course of several years.
4) You cannot sue in case of injury or death.
5) The only reason I ever got a Flu vaccination was because work required it. (I also had the ability to sue work and the manufacturer if I should become injured or die.)
6) The odds are NOT against me. In fact I have better odds with this than I do driving to work and back.
7) Over 90% of Covid deaths have comorbidities - like influenza, hypertension, diabetes, alzheimer's, sepsis, etc. (https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/covid19/mortality-overview.htm)
I've been able to exercise my own initiative for over 60 years, my wife for 50 years, I see no reason to stop now. (Subtract out childhood where parents made decisions.)

CW4 Guy Butler - I don't care if pfizer has been approved, it's not a VIRAL LOADED, LOCALIZED VACCINE.

SSgt (Join to see) - #3 is important for many because any tech that alters the DNA of a species becomes a patent issue. Biotech firms argue that any of their tech that alters DNA becomes intellectual property of the patent holder. FiretrUCK them!

Cpl (Join to see) - There are many who are against tinkering with DNA - but for this it is being demanded we submit to it. Ethics is a huge question. If RNA treatments are suddenly ok, how about cloning? Or changing my DNA so I can have gills for swimming?

I must ask; did any Veteran here refuse the shots the military handed out?

Penicillan - I am deathly allergic. Past that, I got everything else they dished out over the years. But - that is a false equivalency.
I am no longer under the military.

SSgt (Join to see) - Thank you for your polite reply. I don't agree with your reasoning, but that is just a matter of opinion between us.

They may have booed then but hopefully some of them start thinking afterwards.
