MSgt (Join to see) From a different conversation I had about this: "If we start off with the reasonable and historical assumption that the 2a intended the citizens to be armed equally to the government any limitation of firearm capabilities is a violation of the 2a.

Much like the stupidity recently attempted where they tried to ban or severely limit ammo claiming ammo is not Arms.

It’s pretty clear from several legal precedents that the right to bear arms is expansive and inclusive of capabilities even beyond those anticipated by the founders (Caetano 2016)."

That's exactly how I feel except I wonder what the anti 2nd's in my state think about sights and triggers, etc.

All gun laws violate the spirit of the 2nd Amendment.

Rewriting the law by executive order is also quite troubling. Saying a plastic stock is a machine gun doesn't make it a machine gun.
