It is much easier to establish a narrative when the media is compliant.
It also helps when the President goes out of his way to continue to give life to the claims, and occasionally throw gasoline on the flames.

Well count me in for the head exam, because every last bit of that rang true except for one thing.
Steele Dossier was bullshit concocted for "opposition research" funded by the Clinton Campaign (among others), paying a foreign agent through questionably labeled campaign consultants to use foreign sources against an American candidate for President - Check.
That Hillary ever thought in her wildest dreams that it would ever get this far - Disagree. No one could have predicted this circus without a Darth Sideous-esque level of conspiracy.
That the Obama Administration and specifically Susan Rice lied vehemently to the American public about Benghazi, trying to run out the clock prior to the 2012 election - Check.
That Hillary's emails on that subject were conspicuously absent from the FOIA request by Judicial Watch to get to the truth re: Benghazi, unmasking the overt attempt by Clinton to hide her correspondence from oversight (and subsequently expose classified information she had on her private server to international espionage efforts) - Check.
That doesn't excuse Trumps behavior since, nor Congress' or members of the FBI. The whole thing smells like corruption. That is why every last one of the individuals responsible should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. And I am not talking about the Manaforts and Cohens of this tale. I am talking about members of the FBI and Justice Departments, and very possibly Obama officials.
