I think we should make zero accommodation for anyone. If you want to serve, here are the rules, here is the uniform, don't ask for any accommodation etc. We have travelled the slippery slope. Everyone has their exception they want. The word "uniform" has a meaning. Leadership in the armed forces seems to have forgotten that reality.

Well making a hoo-ha about the pork (hint: you're a cook for an American Army...) kinda probably already put a bad taste in everyone's mouth. So yeah, you will get a reputation and folk will be looking to haul you in front of the carpet for everything from the sky being too blue to her eyes blinking too slowly. As an admin officer I would have transferred her long ago. Cuz I'd know that this trooper will be a paperwork pain in my ass.

MAJ James Woods - If we didn't make so many exceptions and have so many people waiting to get offended it would be much easier on most. The big L leaders have failed by allowing exception after exception.

I think the focus as a leader should always be career development and development of the warrior. As a CSM you’re not in the postition to question the Army for allowing the accommodation MAJ James Woods

Do you consider the female physical fitness standards an accommodation? Or the age based sliding scale for body fat composition?

Agreed. She needs to just kill this CSM with kindness. Have her hair perfectly within regs. If the CSM starts busting her chops, ‘Roger!’. And then show how her hair has like 100 clips and ties holding the bun in place.
A few times of being perfectly in regs, and magically, the CSM will stop checking.
