I suppose this helps. However, I'd rather they expend some effort influencing their "congregations" to eschew violence. Now, before someone jumps all over me, yes, I've heard claims that Islam is a religion of peace but I also hear claims that terrorists are being radicalized by imams preaching hate. So, how do we decide which is true? Both? Sure. But then isn't there a governing body of imams ferreting out the "bad" ones? Where is their voice?

In the American South, in the 1950’s, a similar sentiment could have been expressed. Different religion, similar tragedy (except those perpetrators eschewed suicide).

Capt Dwayne Conyers - Just had to go there, didn't you? Yes, I'll agree that ministers in the American South in the 1950's egged on the KKK and used scriptures to justify all sorts of dastardly deeds to further discrimination and incited violence against blacks. So what? Does their wrong justify the wrongs of imams?

Capt Dwayne Conyers - No, not the "same hate". One was racial animus. The other is religious fanaticism. There is another difference. The racial bigots never had a chance in hell of winning. The religious fanatics do

I'd say this is a step in the right direction. To me, this is the greater Muslim community condemning these acts in word and deed.

I'm glad many have stuck together and done this but I am sure there is an Imam in London that will do the service since there are Imams that are coaching and mentoring this sort of human debris.
We need the Imams to turn these people over to the police earlier. The government needs to have ways to deal with these people. Imprison them under a new law or expel them etc. We cannot allow them to fester in the cities and towns.
