Very interesting read. I'm a night owl, and spend a lot of time reading up on various subjects and watching educational documentaries on You Tube. There is a lot of rubbish on there but a lot of gems as well.
One of the documentaries was on the failed colonization of Greenland by the Vikings. The colony failed after 500 years due to the Earth going through a warming/ cooling cycle and the Vikings failing to adapt to the harsher arctic climate. They had bought herd animals that died out after overgrazing and the eradication of edible vegetation by the cold. They still tried to use construction using wood and nails ( which had to be imported) and their clothing was not hardy enough. The Inuits who came later adapted much better and survived.

They also had climate change something that does happen without industrialization something our president doesn't understand and neither does Al Gore so they had a climate change to which made it worse.

I mean the Canadians are investing billions of dollars pumping CO2 into the ground so it's funny that Canada's doing it but Russia China India Pakistan and other countries that have populations are not doing it and just like in Vietnam used to them burn their trash when I was in Iraq and Afghanistan and they also burn their trash you don't have a green party person with an M4 AK-47 tell him no you can't bring your trash so it's kind of funny that they just realize we're paying for it but most are not and liberals don't want to understand that that so they put these hurdles in front of us so they could taxes more but it's not going to save the Earth just going to embellish their pockets and pay for expensive Alternatives that sometimes cause more problems like reservoirs for hydro actually cause CO2 but they didn't realize that or they don't want us to know. I put the hydro article in ass today and rallypoint separate it posted the Canadian papers but I doubt it it made it to the Main Street Us Media because it goes against the carbon tax scheme that makes money for the Democrats.

We do need to explore alternative fuels that are cleaner, but not at the unreasonable pace the eco-terrorists are wanting and not for the fabricated reasons.

Some actually survived in varying degrees, when they came here to the states, maybe it was because they were in warmer conditions or because some of the shamans and medicine women and men of the tribes used ash in treatments (they mixed pot ash or colts foot ash into the medicine) and by doing that they neutralized the lead..

SGT Robert George - Some of the things used for pain and injury were better than modern medicine but the more modern doctors would not listen to the natives because they saw them as "savages". For example, Datura aka Thorn Apple, was a very potent pain killer, parts of it could be used to treat heart problems, other parts could be used to aid in sleep, and when the whole plant is used fresh boiled down, a few sips can put someone into a deep sleep that allows one to reset bones, clean and sew a wound shut (yes some natives did sew wounds), or remove teeth or a badly damaged limb, without the person moving about or feeling it. It works better that the original method of knocking someone out with ether or chloroform. Ehem... not that I'm a nut that studies this stuff......:D
