Not sure if any US Presidents really focus on Civil Affairs. They do perform relevant special operations, but Hollywood and regular Americans are not as familiar with them compared to famous units like SEAL or SF

LTC (Join to see) - I saw a few SEALs but didn't really work with them much. They had some interest in our Human Terrain knowledge. We cross-pollinated with Army SF much more, especially when they started doing Village Stability Operations (VSO). The SEALs were pretty focused on finding stuff to shoot in the face.

LTC (Join to see) I have very limited, only tangential experience with SEALs but this tracks. They’re the finest damn hammer in the world and they just want to find nails.

1SG (Join to see) it amazes me how so many even within the military don’t understand the difference between Army and Navy SOF. But then again one half of that equation has cornered the non fiction market.
