I think that procreation was an expression of joy by the GIs who survived the war. Concurrently, enervated by that joy they set about building a peacetime economy that was the envy of the world. Interestingly, the decline in the birth rate we're seeing today, wherein most western nations are falling short of replacing their population, is indicative of a malaise, a loss of purpose. There is no joy in Mudville or anywhere else these days, is there? I don't care whom we elect this year, I can well imagine that at least half of us will be carping over the results. If we don't select our leaders and our representatives more wisely, and rid ourselves of the despondency of self-hate, the Muslims will truly come to dominate the world through attrition. They alone appear joyful these days? Why? Because we're committing cultural suicide and they are beginning to realize that they will inherit the earth.
