The Unfortunate Fallout of Campus Postmodernism

It used to be a standing joke that if something was bad, it was the result of a communist plot. Toilet clogged? Communist plot. Car won't start? Communist plot. Steak not cooked right at a restaurant? Communist plot. The more inane the thing, the funnier the joke.

This actually IS partially the result of a communist plot, the subversion of our education system -- though it went in a direction no communist could have predicted. I wonder what Orwell would think if he could have seen this world we live in today? He'd probably have the same reaction the cartoonist who thought of Dick Tracy's wristwatch-phone would have, shaking his head with incredulity as his wildest imagination became reality.

Sad but true. Endemic throughout academia.
