I dislike televangelist and the prosperity gospel. It simply isn’t scriptural. We just need to read about early Christians, John exiled to Patmos and lived in a cave, this was the apostle Jesus loved. Paul worked as a tent maker and was martyred, even today, twenty Christians and one convert were martyred by Muslim extremists on a beach. Jesus said if they so treat the master how will his servants be treated? Did Jesus run around trying to become wealthy? In sort, the prosperity gospel is BS. I do like local churches that help others and parishioners in time of need, help the community and support ministry with in a community. Sound financial principles for money management are important and scriptural. We are supposed to be generous and giving but not foolish and ignorant. One Christian based financial counseling and education service tells people not to give until they can afford to give. God can’t be manipulated, He is sovereign. We can not manipulate God by giving, sacrifice or sharing an e-mail. Anyone who thinks God can be manipulated isn’t fully thinking things through. Turn off the TV, close the Internet page, and DON’T SEND MONEY! God doesn’t need your money! If the Televangelist believed what they preached God would provide out of His abundance with out fleecing the poor!
